Position Summary: The Precision Assembler is responsible for the preparation, assembly, testing, and repair of equipment, using modern tools to ensure high-quality products. Key Highlights: 1. Ensure all parts and components are clean prior to assembly and that assemblies are completed correctly, following all assembly procedures. Follow all safety procedures and wear required personal protective equipment. Operate a variety of precision measurement tools—including micrometers, calipers, and CMM (Coordinate Measuring Machines)—in a warehouse environment, as well as hand tools such as hydraulic levers and welding torches. Identify and resolve issues arising during assembly. Possess keen attention to detail and a results-oriented mindset. Ability to perform basic mathematical functions—including computation of rate, ratio, and percentage—and convert measurements from one unit to another. Participate in CIP activities as required and comply with all Flowserve policies and procedures. Ability to read and interpret documents such as drawings, technical diagrams, safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedural manuals. Ability to write routine reports and communicate clearly with colleagues, supervisors, and customers. Demonstrate a customer-focused approach to on-time delivery and quality craftsmanship. Basic computer skills to use/learn data-entry systems and the Microsoft Office suite. Availability to work overtime and weekends as needed with minimal advance notice. Demonstrate behavior that promotes teamwork and continuous improvement. Ability to stand for extended periods and safely lift up to 50 pounds. Other duties as assigned. Preferred Experience and Skills: Shop experience. Knowledge of automation control and electrical components. Experience as a rotating machinery mechanic, mechanical device technician, or general mechanic. General education certificate or vocational training.
