




Position Summary: This role performs welding of parts and components for equipment, products, and installations, working within a customer-focused team under tight deadlines and challenging mechanical problems. Position Summary: This role performs welding of parts and components for equipment, products, and installations using MIG, MAG, TIG, stick welding, or other welding applications. As part of a customer-focused team, the individual will work under tight deadlines, address challenging mechanical problems, and discuss work with management before, during, and after task completion. Responsibilities and Requirements: Select appropriate welding methods, such as TIG, MIG, MAG, or stick welding. Plan and layout work from engineering drawings and manufacturer specification sheets, applying shop mathematics and measurement tools. Set up and operate a conventional lathe for preparation of welded parts. Properly identify materials and prepare components. Perform assembly activities during production. Conduct weld repairs on raw and finished parts. Install weldments based on technical drawings. Complete all assigned welding tasks per operational instructions. Verify quality of finished work, demonstrating deep understanding of specifications and craftsmanship. Meet production objectives related to efficiency, scheduling, and waste reduction. Diagnose and correct process and equipment issues. Collaborate with laser technicians and team assemblers to discuss and resolve issues related to repairs and equipment. Record accurate and timely data in computerized systems or manual logs. Apply understanding of document, material, and part flow through repair or manufacturing processes. Maintain a safe workplace by using appropriate personal protective equipment per safety requirements, following procedures and rules, and completing required training. Clean and maintain machinery and tools, and keep the workspace organized. Perform relevant heat treatment operations per heat treatment operational instructions or process documents. Welding experience in a manufacturing or repair environment. Demonstrate ability to define, evaluate, and discuss welding-related quality craftsmanship. Must exhibit a customer-focused approach to on-time delivery and quality craftsmanship. Standing for extended periods, repetitive arm movements, and frequent lifting, including occasional lifting up to 50 pounds. Proven history of reliability and punctuality; able to work overtime and weekends as needed with minimal advance notice. Welder certification. Other duties as assigned. Preferred Experience and Skills: Welding experience in mechanical manufacturing or valve industry. PT and MT certifications preferred. Experience with post-weld heat treatment. Strong technical comprehension. SAP knowledge. Ability to work independently, flexibly, and accurately. Strong teamwork spirit and initiative. Availability for full-time employment.
