We are seeking to hire a junior developer with knowledge of SQL, Java, and Python. Selected developers will work on relational and non-relational database design or on developing APIs in Cloud environments. Job Responsibilities * Software Development: You will be responsible for developing and maintaining applications using the programming languages SQL, Java, and Python. This may involve writing code, debugging and troubleshooting, as well as implementing new features and improvements to existing applications. * Database Design and Management: You will work with relational and non-relational databases, thus being responsible for designing efficient database schemas, creating tables, indexes, and optimized queries. You may also participate in database management and administration, ensuring performance, security, and availability. * API Development: You will collaborate on developing APIs for communication between different systems and applications. This may involve designing RESTful interfaces, implementing endpoints, API authentication and authorization, as well as documenting and testing the APIs developed. * Working in Cloud Environments: You will participate in developing and deploying applications in Cloud environments such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud. This involves becoming familiar with Cloud services—such as storage, computing, and database services—and using them to implement scalable, high-performance solutions. * Collaboration and Problem Solving: You will work in multidisciplinary teams, collaborating with other developers, data scientists, and business professionals. You will participate in resolving technical issues, proposing solutions and improvements, and ensuring applications meet required quality and performance standards. * Maintenance and Support: You will provide maintenance and technical support for existing applications, performing bug fixes, enhancements, and updates as needed. You will also be responsible for monitoring application performance and resolving operational issues to ensure operational stability. Job Requirements * Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science (or equivalent experience). * Must have knowledge of UNIX. * SQL Knowledge: You must have strong proficiency in SQL for designing and querying relational databases. You must be able to write efficient queries, create tables, indexes, and views, and understand concepts such as joins, aggregations, and SQL functions. * Java Experience: Programming knowledge in Java is required. You must be able to write clean, structured code, understand the fundamentals of object-oriented programming (OOP), and use popular Java libraries and frameworks. * Python Proficiency: You must have hands-on experience programming in Python. You must be familiar with the language’s syntax and features, and capable of using popular Python libraries and frameworks such as Pandas, NumPy, and Django. * Relational and Non-Relational Databases: You must have knowledge and experience in designing and managing relational databases such as MySQL or PostgreSQL. Familiarity with non-relational databases such as MongoDB or Cassandra is also desirable. * API Development: You must have experience developing RESTful APIs using technologies such as Flask or Spring Boot. You must understand API design principles, API authentication and authorization, and be capable of documenting and testing the APIs developed. * Cloud Environments: Basic knowledge of developing and deploying applications in Cloud environments such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud is desirable. * Problem Solving and Teamwork: You must possess technical problem-solving skills and the ability to work effectively in multidisciplinary teams. Collaborating with other developers and business professionals, communicating ideas effectively, and identifying efficient solutions are essential.
