Implement short- and long-term improvements **SECTION I:** GENERAL DESCRIPTION Engineering position responsible for tools and equipment for vehicle assembly. **SECTION II:** EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Electromechanical, Mechanical, Mechatronics, or related field) 2 or more years of experience in a related position **SECTION III:** KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND CERTIFICATIONS Bilingual (80% English and Spanish), both verbal and written Core Tools Design software (CATIA / SolidWorks / AutoCAD) SAP system Blueprint/drawing interpretation Project management **SECTION IV:** MAIN TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES Determine the tools required to perform operations. Perform activities related to workplace safety. Develop business cases to select the best tools without safety, quality, and/or productivity risks. Obtain and purchase tools through the procurement process, ensuring on\-time and proper delivery. Design tools, fixtures, and accessories according to requirements. Resolve quality issues in collaboration with cross\-functional teams. Implement short\- and long\-term improvements. Capital equipment acquisition. Provide daily support to assigned assembly lines or sub\-assembly areas as responsible engineer. Develop and mitigate risk analyses for processes under their responsibility. Develop machining, integration, and service suppliers. Establish requirements for modification and/or development of new equipment, tooling, and fixtures. Implement and validate newly acquired or modified equipment. Develop cost\-saving–focused projects. Manage tool crib spare parts additions and removals. Release 2D drawings and specifications for new models and/or platforms. Participate in PFMEA maintenance to anticipate poka\-yoke equipment in assigned areas. Manage electrical, pneumatic, and network node drops for new equipment implementations. Perform any other duties or responsibilities assigned by the Coordinator or Manager. Participate in compliance with the QMS (Quality Management System) requirements related to ISO 9001:2015\. Comply with safety rules as determined according to job function. Complete all planned quality and training\-related courses on time. Identify and report any quality or compliance issues and support corrective actions.
