DESCRIPTION ### **Join our team at Grupo Galería (Distribution)!** **Job Description:** We are seeking a **Forklift Equipment Technician** with a strong foundation in **automotive mechanics** and proven experience in equipment maintenance. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring the optimal performance and safety of our forklift fleet by efficiently and effectively performing **corrective and preventive maintenance**. This role is critical to ensuring the continuity of our distribution operations. **Key Responsibilities:** * Perform accurate diagnostics and repairs of malfunctions on forklifts and other material handling equipment. * Carry out scheduled **preventive maintenance** in accordance with service manuals and company guidelines, including inspection, lubrication, and adjustment of components. * Conduct **corrective maintenance** to resolve mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues affecting equipment performance. * Possess in-depth **engine knowledge** (diesel, gasoline, gas) and associated systems (combustion, cooling, lubrication, exhaust). * Inspect and maintain transmission, braking, steering, suspension, and hydraulic systems of forklifts in good working condition. * Identify and report worn or defective parts, managing their requisition and replacement. * Document all maintenance activities performed, including repairs carried out, parts used, and time invested. * Comply with all industrial safety and occupational health regulations while performing tasks. * Maintain a detailed maintenance history record for each piece of equipment. * Collaborate with other departments to minimize equipment downtime and optimize operational efficiency. * Actively participate in continuous improvement of maintenance processes. * Conduct pre\-operational safety inspections on assigned equipment. * Apply knowledge of **automotive mechanics** and **heavy equipment mechanics** for a more comprehensive understanding of mechanical principles. **Job Requirements:** * **Experience:** Minimum 1 year of verifiable experience in forklift or similar equipment maintenance and repair. * **Education:** Technical diploma in Automotive Mechanics, Heavy Machinery Mechanics, or related field.
