Summary: This role involves leading analysis, optimization, validation, and control of Twinax cable manufacturing processes, focusing on taping and cable extrusion, to drive NPI, improve productivity, and ensure high-quality production. Highlights: 1. Lead optimization and control of Twinax cable manufacturing processes. 2. Drive successful New Product Introductions (NPI) and productivity improvements. 3. Collaborate cross-functionally to ensure stable, high-quality production. Your Job We are hiring a Process Engineer \- Taper (Twinax) to lead analysis, optimization, validation, and control of Twinax cable manufacturing processes, with emphasis on taping (helical application of metallic and transparent tape) and working knowledge of cable extrusion. You will drive successful New Product Introductions (NPI), improve productivity, reduce scrap and Cost of Poor Quality (COPQ), and ensure stable, high\-quality production through robust process qualification and continuous improvement. Our Team You will join the Process Engineering team and partner closely with New Product Development (NPD), Quality, and Production to industrialize and support cable manufacturing processes. The team is collaborative, results\-oriented, and focused on improving process capability and operational performance. What You Will Do * Own industrialization and process qualification efforts that enable smooth transitions from NPI to reliable mass production. * Define and control Critical to Function (CTF) parameters to ensure process and product robustness and to reduce COPQ. * Drive productivity and yield improvements by identifying bottlenecks, implementing process optimizations, and validating results. * Lead troubleshooting and corrective actions for process and electrical performance issues on the production floor. * Develop and maintain visual standards, work instructions, and documentation that promote repeatable, consistent taping and extrusion operations. * Collaborate cross\-functionally to validate new products, support machine calibration, and sustain process stability. * Champion continuous improvement projects (e.g., Tiger Teams) that deliver measurable manufacturing gains. Who You Are (Basic Qualifications) * Bachelor's degree in Engineering (preferred disciplines include Industrial, Mechatronics, Mechanical, Electrical, Materials, Chemical, or related). * 3\+ years' experience in process or manufacturing engineering in continuous manufacturing environments (extrusion, taping, cable, or similar). * Proven experience in process qualification/validation and machine calibration in production settings. * Strong data\-driven problem\-solving skills; basic proficiency in Excel for calculations and the ability to create clear presentations (Google Slides, PowerPoint, etc.). * Available to start as soon as possible; preference for candidates located in Guadalajara for faster onboarding and on\-site collaboration. What Will Put You Ahead (Preferred Qualifications) * Direct experience with Twinax manufacturing and taping (helical application of metallic/transparent tape) and/or cable extrusion processes. * Experience reducing CE or PQ (e.g., customer escapes or product quality issues) and identifying Critical to Function (CTF) in processes. * Lean / Six Sigma training or experience leading productivity and quality improvement projects. * Familiarity with PLCs, machine controls, or electrical troubleshooting for manufacturing equipment. * Proficiency with Minitab and/or CAD software such as NX (desirable but not required). * Moderate\-advanced English communication skills (not required, but a plus). * Proven track record leading NPI and industrialization runs. Who We Are At Koch companies, we are entrepreneurs. This means we openly challenge the status quo, find new ways to create value, and get rewarded for our individual contributions. Any compensation range provided for a role is an estimate determined by available market data. The actual amount may be higher or lower than the range provided considering each candidate's knowledge, skills, abilities, and geographic location.
