Their primary objective is to ensure maximum operational availability and fleet profitability by balancing technical management with a strategic financial perspective to optimize **Return on Investment (ROI)** and meet market demand. **II. Key Responsibilities** **1\. Strategic Planning and Asset Management** * **Forecasting:** Develop demand forecasts to ensure fleet composition aligns with market needs. * **Acquisition and Disposal Cycle:** Execute the ***Roll-in / Roll-out*** process, managing the onboarding of new units and the strategic disposal of equipment into the used market. * **Fleet Mix:** Optimize the mix of models and categories to maximize rental and sales opportunities. **2\. Maximizing Utilization and Availability** * **Availability Management:** Monitor utilization metrics to minimize idle time. * **"*****Return to Ready*****" Protocol:** Ensure equipment returned from rental undergoes immediate inspection and reconditioning processes for prompt reassignment. * **Reservation Control:** Coordinate priority unit assignments according to commercial commitments and active contracts. **3\. Lifecycle and Maintenance Management** * **Technical Oversight:** Coordinate with the service department on preventive and corrective maintenance programs, prioritizing reduction of downtime. * **Renewal Strategy:** Analyze each asset’s history to determine the optimal disposal timing, avoiding excessive repair costs on obsolete equipment. * **Fleet Condition:** Maintain Komatsu quality and safety standards across every operational unit. **4\. Financial Control and Profitability** * **Budget Management:** Administer the operational budget (OPEX) allocated to the fleet. * **Cost Control:** Monitor critical expenses such as tires, undercarriage (track systems), and major maintenance. * **Profitability Analysis:** Report financial performance per unit, identifying cost deviations impacting divisional margins. **III. Candidate Profile** * **Education:** Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Industrial, Civil) or Business Administration. Specialization in Asset Management or Finance is desirable. * **Experience:** Minimum 5 years in heavy machinery fleet management, transportation industry, or industrial equipment leasing companies. * **Technical Knowledge:** * Satellite monitoring systems (Komtrax or similar). * Inventory and asset logistics management. * Analysis of machinery operating costs. **IV. Competencies and Soft Skills** * **Technological Proficiency:** Advanced **Excel**, experience with **Power BI** for dashboard (KPI) generation.
