Lead continuous improvement activities within the materials department Position Title: Materials Manager Reports to: Plant Manager Work Location: Arteaga, Coahuila, Mexico We have an exciting opportunity for a problem solver, a change agent who is excited about taking Motus to the NEXT level. The **Materials Manager** will be responsible for providing the best scheduling practices and procedures to support Motus organizational needs and ensuring that all scheduling standards are adhered to. A successful candidate will be driven, have proven success in driving processes and detail oriented. **RESPONSIBILITIES:** * Manage the human resources of the department for the proper functioning of the plant. * Analyze the demand and production according to customer requirements. Analyze demand and production according to customer requirements. * Ensure, in accordance with the client's releases, the necessary raw materials for production. * Provide support to the materials staff for the good performance of their tasks aimed at satisfying our internal and external customers. * Provide monthly sales budgets based on customer requirements. Provide monthly sales budgets based on customer requirements. * Direct the planning of machine time and work requirements according to engineering standards, routings, machine capacities, molds, and the master production schedule. * Verify the availability of molds and materials before production planning. * Create work orders for assembly and injection * Provide monthly sales budgets based on customer requirements. * Direct the work order closing function every Friday. * Maintain an adequate level of WIP (Work In Progress) and finished product inventory. * Comply with the cyclical counting program. * Direct and supervise inventory control analyses and take responsibility for maintenance. * Assist in the development of continuous improvement activities within the department. Identify the necessary resource requirements, including human resources, specialized training, infrastructure, technology, and financial resources, and the assignment of competent personnel to manage and carry out the assigned tasks. **REQUIREMENTS:** * Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Materials Management, Business or related * 5\+ years of experience in manufacturing environment * 5\+ years of scheduling and planning production and materials * MRP system experience * Fluent English * Plex ERP knowledge is a plus
