The coordinator will be responsible for food ordering/ reporting and will ensure compliance with USDA regulations, maintain high standards of food safety, and foster positive relationships with students and families. **Essential Duties \& Responsibilities:** ----------------------------------------- * Help with the accurate preparation of meals to ensure the highest quality food preparation and high standards of food safety. * Distribute food in proper portions to students. * Follow all USDA rules, regulations, and standard operating procedures. * Accurately enter meal counts twice daily in a timely manner. * Accurately enter food orders and maintain production records. * Prepare for next day food orders and manage food inventory. * Prepare weekend home food packages on Fridays for students. * Clean tables, kitchen equipment, and general food service areas to maintain a sanitary environment. * Develop a rapport with students and families to identify home food scarcities. * Respond timely to all communications received (e.g., email, voice messages) from coworkers, Whole Again, students, and families. **Supervisory Responsibilities:** --------------------------------- * Yes, coordinate and manage food handler volunteers **Qualifications and Skill Requirements:** ------------------------------------------ * Completion of an online Food Safety and Sanitation Program or Safe Serve. * Three months of food service experience, preferably in a school setting. * Experience working cross\-culturally. * Positive attitude toward being part of a team effort to make the lunchroom a pleasant experience for students and coworkers. * Must have reliable means of transportation to work and to travel between school and offsite outings. **Preferred Qualifications:** ----------------------------- * Bilingual (English/Spanish) **Organizational Responsibility:** ---------------------------------- Employees of Catholic Charities Southwestern Ohio will have knowledge of the Catholic faith, a willingness to work for a Catholic, faith\-based agency and adhere to the policies of Catholic Charities.
