Position Purpose** Support the attending physician in delivering comprehensive patient care through participation in surgeries, outpatient consultations, emergency care, and hospitalization, as well as through correct **preparation, compilation, and follow-up of the clinical record**, ensuring safe, timely, and regulatory-compliant medical care in accordance with current health regulations and insurance company guidelines. **3. Specific Objectives and Functions** **Objective 1: Provide clinical and assistance support to the attending physician in outpatient consultation, hospitalization, and operating room.** **Functions:** * Enter and assist the attending physician during surgical procedures. * Support preoperative preparation and postoperative follow-up of patients. * Participate in medical care during outpatient consultations. * Assist in initial clinical assessment and follow-up of hospitalized patients. **Objective 2: Ensure appropriate medical care for patients covered by insurance companies.** **Functions:** * Conduct medical assessments according to protocols established by insurance companies. * Prepare required medical notes for authorizations, follow-ups, and discharges. * Coordinate with administrative departments for proper case management for insured patients. * Provide clear and timely clinical information in accordance with institutional guidelines. **Objective 3: Prepare and maintain an up-to-date clinical record for each patient.** **Functions:** * Prepare admission, progress, interconsultation, and discharge medical notes. * Record diagnoses, treatments, medical instructions, and clinical evolution. * Compile the clinical record in compliance with NOM-004-SSA3-2012. * Ensure confidentiality and protection of clinical information. **Objective 4: Respond to medical requirements in the emergency department.** **Functions:** * Assess and treat patients in the emergency department when required. * Assist in initial patient stabilization. * Request necessary laboratory and imaging studies. * Promptly notify the attending physician or department head regarding critical situations. **4. Education and Training** * Bachelor’s Degree in Medicine (degree and professional license mandatory). * Completed rotating internship and social service (Level 2). * Courses in emergency medicine and Basic Life Support (BLS). * Basic knowledge of operating room procedures and aseptic protocols. **5. Experience** * One year of experience in a hospital setting (preferred). * Experience in outpatient consultation, hospitalization, or operating room (preferred). * Experience in caring for patients covered by insurance companies (desirable). **6. Technical Knowledge** * Preparation and management of clinical records. * Current health regulations (NOM-004 on clinical records). * Basic medical care and clinical follow-up. * Surgical and emergency protocols. * Basic use of hospital information systems and electronic health records. **7.
