Generate strategic reports for decision-making Job Description: **Job Objective:** We are seeking a proactive and analytical **Chief Accountant** to lead and supervise the company’s accounting and financial operations. You will be responsible for ensuring financial data integrity, compliance with tax obligations, and generating strategic reports to support decision-making. **Key Responsibilities:** * **General Accounting:** Accurately and timely record, classify, and summarize all of the company’s financial transactions. * **Bank Reconciliations:** Perform and monitor monthly reconciliations for all bank accounts. * **Payroll:** Supervise and/or execute payroll calculation and disbursement, related taxes, and contributions to IMSS and INFONAVIT. * **Tax Obligations:** Accurately and timely prepare, calculate, and file monthly (VAT, Income Tax) and annual (Annual Tax Return) tax declarations with the SAT. * **Accounts Payable and Receivable:** Manage the full cycle of accounts payable and receivable, ensuring optimal cash flow. * **Inventory:** Control and reconcile inventory, performing necessary accounting adjustments. * **Financial Reporting:** Generate monthly financial reports (Income Statement, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow Statement) for management. * **Audits:** Coordinate and serve as the primary liaison during external and internal audit processes, providing required documentation. * **Budgeting:** Collaborate in the preparation and monitoring of the company’s annual budget. * **Regulatory Compliance:** Maintain up-to-date knowledge and ensure compliance with Mexican tax, labor, and financial laws (NIF, CFF, LISR, LFT). * **Education Requirements:** **Desired Competencies:** * **High professional ethics and confidentiality** when handling sensitive information. * **Strong organizational skills and attention to detail** to manage multiple tasks with high accuracy. * **Analytical ability and problem-solving skills.** * **Teamwork and strong communication skills** to interact effectively across departments. * **Proactivity**, and ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines. * Degree and Professional License (**Mandatory**) in Public Accounting, Finance, or related field. * **Experience:** * Minimum 3–5 years’ experience in a similar role such as General Accountant, Chief Accountant, or Accounting Manager. * Solid experience applying Mexican Financial Information Standards (NIF) and the Mexican tax framework. * Experience managing end-to-end corporate accounting. * **Essential Technical Knowledge:** * **Advanced Excel proficiency** (advanced functions, pivot tables, VLOOKUP, etc.). * Expert-level use of accounting ERP systems (e.g., CONTPAQi, SAP, SIAP, Oracle, etc.). * In-depth knowledge of the SAT (portal, electronic invoicing CFDI, tax mailbox). * Experience calculating and issuing CFDI payroll receipts.
