Safety Technician

Description

Company with over 20 years of experience dedicated to **Engineering, Maintenance, Machining, Industrial Assembly, and Industrial Services.** Requirements: * Minimum of 3 years of experience in a similar position. * Technical Superior University Degree (TSU) or Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Environmental Engineering, or related field. * Personal transportation required. * No scheduling constraints. Responsibilities: * Supervise the implementation and compliance with safety policies and procedures within the company. * Attend critical activities for safety supervision. * Issue work permits. * Conduct regular inspections of facilities, equipment, and work areas to identify potential hazards and ensure appropriate mitigation measures are implemented. * Advise and train personnel on safe work practices, including proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and first aid techniques. * Investigate and analyze occupational incidents and accidents, identify root causes, and recommend corrective and preventive actions. * Collaborate with other departments to promote a safety culture and encourage active employee participation in continuous workplace safety improvement. * Prepare periodic reports on the company’s safety performance and submit recommendations for implementing improvements. Knowledge and skills in: * In-depth knowledge of occupational health and safety standards and regulations. * Certifications or training in first aid, high-angle rescue, and confined space rescue. * Strong leadership skills and ability to make rapid, effective decisions during emergencies. * Excellent verbal and written communication skills to interact with employees, clients, and regulatory authorities. * Ability to conduct risk assessments and incident analyses. * Knowledge of best practices and technologies related to workplace safety. * High ethical and integrity standards. * Knowledge of PPE.
