Attention to detail and adherence to protocols. **Campus Custodial Assistant** UVM is seeking custodial personnel. **Job Objective:** To perform operational cleaning activities across all physical campus spaces (interior and peripheral areas), ensuring clean, accessible, functional, and presentable areas so that the entire UVM community enjoys a dignified and well-maintained campus. Perform cleaning activities on furniture, equipment, and other areas as required within the campus. **Responsibilities and Activities:** * Carry out assigned daily and deep-cleaning routines across all campus spaces and furniture. * Clean exterior areas when required (sidewalks, steps, etc.) located in peripheral zones. * Respond to unscheduled cleaning requests from campus units. * Support campus events (cleaning, waste removal). * Apply cleaning procedures according to sanitation protocols (where applicable). * Complete cleaning logs to ensure activity tracking and execution evidence. * Inspect and replenish sanitary supplies in restrooms. * Proactively place safety signage in cleaning zones to prevent accidents. * Clean diverse large areas (offices, common areas, classrooms, restrooms, etc.). * Physical work requiring caution, attention to detail, proper use of equipment, vigilance, and strict adherence to defined processes, protocols, and tasks. * Zero accidents. * Timely and consistent general cleaning in high-traffic areas used by students, faculty, and administrative staff throughout the workday. **Requirements:** Basic education. 0–1 years of experience. Basic knowledge of cleaning products. Experience operating floor polishers and vacuum cleaners (desirable but not mandatory). **Competencies:** Service-oriented attitude. Customer focus. Teamwork.
