Hospitales MAC "La Viga" Unit Seeks: **Surgical Scheduler** Position Objective: * Coordinate, plan, and supervise activities related to the scheduling and execution of surgical procedures, ensuring the operating room’s operational efficiency and compliance with medical, administrative, and safety standards. Responsibilities: * Planning and Coordination: Develop and manage the daily schedule for elective and emergency surgeries. * Confirm availability of required human, material, and technical resources for each procedure. * Coordinate with other departments to ensure proper execution of surgeries. * Operational Supervision: Verify that the operating room is properly equipped and sterilized prior to each procedure. Supervise adherence to the surgical maintenance schedule. * Adherence to the daily surgical schedule. * Administrative Management: Record activities performed in the operating room, including surgery start and end times. * Reduction of idle time between procedures. * Periodically report to the medical coordinator on service functionality and outcomes achieved. * Vendor confirmation. * Patient Care: Inform patients and their families about surgical outcomes in the absence of the surgeon. * Ensure compliance with patient safety standards throughout the entire surgical process. Desired Experience in: * Regulations applicable to surgical processes; aseptic and sterile techniques. * Administrative management and use of hospital software for surgical scheduling.
