Fraternidad sin Fronteras I.A.P. Foundation invites you to join its team as a "COOK"
With the following duties:
Prepare ingredients for various dishes according to process specifications—breakfast, lunch, afternoon snack, mid-morning/mid-afternoon snacks, and dinner—which may include disinfecting, cutting, and cooking each ingredient.
Keep your kitchen area clean and orderly; dishes and utensils must be placed in appropriate locations.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date inventory records of raw materials and kitchen utensils.
Ensure foods are stored properly and discard expired items.
Prepare a monthly list of required supplies to guarantee adequate nutrition for beneficiaries.
Compare missing supplies every two weeks to meet monthly nutritional needs.
Develop monthly menus in coordination with the Nutritionist.
Carry out feeding processes with the foundation’s beneficiaries.
Comply with provisions established in the foundation’s policy and regulatory guidelines regarding occupational safety and health and hygiene.
Disinfect, wash, cut, and prepare ingredients (potatoes, chayotes, carrots, etc.) and cook vegetables using the selected method.
Prepare donated fruit on the same day it arrives or the following day, separating fruits unfit for consumption before the snack time.
Prepare sufficient breakfast, lunch, and dinner for all beneficiaries.
Daily inspection of the food storage area to ensure it remains orderly and maintained as such.
Do not leave pitchers or utensils containing food or beverages at the end of the workday.
Always rotate donated food items.
Arrange food and donations upon receipt.
Clean refrigerators at least once per month.
Refrigerators must remain closed at the end of each shift.
Ensure food is not contaminated by water dripping from refrigerators.
Process donated fruits (mangoes, cucumbers, grapes, etc.) immediately upon arrival.
Clean the kitchen and keep it orderly; this maintenance task is essential to ensure space hygiene and pass routine sanitary inspections.
