We are looking for a Power Systems Consultant to join the Power Technologies International (PTI) team at Grid Software. This role is key to planning and integrating renewable energy, storage, and FACTS into the power grid, as well as performing large\-scale simulations of electrical transmission systems for clients such as power producers, independent system operators, and transmission providers, in order to develop solutions for safe and reliable operation of electrical systems. This is a position based in Mexico. **Responsibilities:** * Conduct planning, integration, operation, and regulatory compliance studies for generation and industrial projects connected to transmission and distribution networks by applying power system principles to simulate and analyze steady\-state and dynamic behaviors of the power system. * Prepare detailed written reports describing analyses performed, conclusions, and recommendations. * Work on small project teams, ensuring high\-quality results and that projects are completed within budget and schedule. * Develop automation scripts to improve the speed and accuracy of simulations and analysis. * Support proposal preparation by developing project plans, budgets, and schedules. * Provide on\-site technical consulting/training services. **We will be convinced if you meet the following qualifications:** * Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering with specialization in Power Systems. * At least 3 years of relevant experience in the electric power industry (time spent obtaining a relevant advanced degree and relevant internships may count toward one year of the experience requirement). * Practical experience using advanced power system analysis tools such as PSS/E, PSLF, PowerWorld, EMTP\-RV, etc. * Knowledge (through experience, coursework, or applicable internships) of transmission system planning or operations, with experience in power flow and dynamic stability analysis. * Experience in taking field measurements or site surveys. * Ability to travel 10% nationally. **Desired Qualifications** * Graduate degree in Electrical Systems. * Advanced English proficiency * Advanced knowledge of simulation software (PSS/E, PSS SINCAL, EMTP\-RV, PowerWorld, DIgSILENT, SKM Power Tools, ETAP). * Experience in analysis, operation, or planning of electrical systems. * Experience in consulting services. **Equal Employment Opportunity Statement** Siemens is an Equal Opportunity and Affirmative Action Employer encouraging diversity in the workplace.
