**General Objective:** Review the clinical record and billing items of the patient’s account during their hospitalization period in the healthcare unit. **Job Responsibilities:** * Daily review of account status to ensure that all patient accounts eligible for medical discharge have recorded all used supplies and have undergone final validation of their account status prior to hospital discharge. * In accordance with the daily census of hospitalized patients, verify daily releases of materials, medications, and medical examinations charged to patient accounts; validate these against the surgical sheet consumption report, automatic charges, and third-party provider referrals. * Identify inconsistencies between surgical sheet usage and system charges, and promote necessary additions through the corresponding department. * Validate pricing, discount percentages, and charge reversals. * Process charge cancellations only after prior validation and authorization by General Management. * Submit formal requests via email when immediate correction is required for pending issues in Nursing, Pharmacy, Admissions, Insurance, or Authorization departments. * Prepare a spreadsheet to record additions and exclusions applied per account; present volume metrics, recurrence rates of deficiencies to the local supervisor, and report high-deficiency generating areas to managers with the objective of improving processes. * Prepare a spreadsheet to track audited accounts per patient for monitoring and monthly production analysis. * Register special supplies not recorded in the system (External Providers) into the operational system. * Timely obtain copies of external provider referrals for registration processing, digitize them, and integrate them into the patient’s electronic folder. **Education:** ACADEMIC LEVEL: Completed Bachelor’s degree with proof of graduation (e.g., certificate of completion or internship letter).
