Responsible for developing electronic concepts for both mechanized and automated equipment, as well as PLC (Programmable Logic Controller) programs and electrical test programs; provides electronic support and training to personnel. May supervise one or more technicians and/or engineers on a project basis. **II.** **POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:** ======================================== * Develop initial concepts (sketches) for all electronic systems related to new equipment. * Responsible for developing concepts to mechanize and/or automate electrical test equipment. * Develop and implement programs for electrical test equipment. * Support the development and implementation of semi-automated and automated assembly equipment. * Initiate modifications or improvements to existing electronic equipment, accompanied by appropriate designs or redesign information. * Implement Poka-Yoke systems, vision systems, scanners, etc., into electrical test and assembly equipment. * Diagnose equipment failures or defects. Coordinate repairs, maintenance, and reconstruction as required. * Implement equipment design changes to improve performance, efficiency, and cost reduction. * Review and evaluate new/existing equipment to develop training plans for new personnel as well as retraining plans for existing personnel. * Coordinate technical personnel training on programming of electrical test equipment. * Prepare required drawings and schematics of equipment using appropriate tools and electrical standards. * Procure materials, components, or units required for electronic equipment by initiating purchase requisitions and following up to ensure timely delivery. * Perform all assigned tasks. * Apply Lean Manufacturing and 5S principles daily.
