Join us in advancing our mission to extend lives and expand possibilities. * Responsible for the plastic extrusion area, ensuring execution and proper completion of set\-ups during part number changes (installation and removal of tooling) on extrusion machines, guaranteeing efficiency, safety, adherence to established timelines, and compliance with company standards. Initiates and supervises extruder runs, adjusting process parameters (pressure, time, temperature, etc.) as necessary. * Supervises members of their work team (specialized extrusion operator and material handler). 1\. Perform set\-up of auxiliary equipment (Zum Bach, Betalasermike, cutters, puller, etc.), operate them appropriately, and complete all required documentation for production start\-up on machines (model change check\-list, parameter recording check\-list, first article form). 2\. Receive and hand over shifts in the extrusion area to stay informed about pending tasks and ensure proper follow\-up. 3\. Monitor adherence to the production plan. 4\. Verify the extrusion process (before, during, and after). 5\. Maintain machinery and required equipment in clean and optimal condition for manufacturing processes in the extrusion area, and keep the work area orderly and clean. 6\. May perform preventive maintenance on extruder screws to enhance performance and equipment availability. 7\. Ensure extrusion equipment processes produce acceptable parts, operating within established standards for cycle time, scrap rate, and required quality levels by properly addressing and resolving any process issues arising in the area. 8\. Reduce machine downtime related to start\-ups and process problems. 9\. Continuously monitor machines throughout the shift. 10\. Supervise that all established procedures in the extrusion area are correctly and effectively carried out by assigned personnel (specialized extrusion operator and material handler). 11\. Comply with applicable job procedures and attend training sessions and courses that support fulfillment of the company's mission. 12\. Implement process improvements to increase productivity in the extrusion area. 13\. Ensure maintenance of dies, tooling, and equipment is performed, and follow up to maintain extrusion machine tooling in optimal condition. 14\. Provide support in training extrusion operators, molding technicians, and manufacturing personnel. 15\. Ensure extrusion machines and tooling are maintained in designated areas to meet scheduled production targets on time, with quality, efficiency, and adherence to plan, while maintaining an organized work area. 16\. Verify effective implementation of the Preventive Maintenance Plan, contributing expertise and knowledge in diagnosing and resolving machinery and equipment failures. 17\. Contribute expertise and knowledge in diagnosing and resolving failures in machinery and auxiliary equipment. 18\. Participate in continuous improvement projects as required and contribute to enhancing production standards. 19\. Pursue acquisition of new knowledge and attend any assigned or authorized courses or seminars supporting career development. 20\. Diagnose and correct malfunctions in machinery and auxiliary equipment. 21\. Participate in audits. 22\. Report any equipment, tool, material, quality, or disciplinary issues detected during work to immediate supervisor. 23\.
