Job Summary: We are seeking a Veterinary Surgeon to develop surgical plans, monitor procedures, and perform medical treatments on small animal species. Key Responsibilities: 1. Advising owners on postoperative care Job Description Develop surgical plans and approaches for patients requiring surgical intervention. Monitor surgical and outpatient procedures. · Licensed Veterinarian or Veterinary Zootechnician. · Outpatient consultation experience with small animal species (preferred). · Implementation of medical treatments. · Animal handling and treatment. · Administration of veterinary pharmaceuticals. · Professional license holder. · Minimum age: 25 years. · Minimum 3 years of clinical experience with small animal species. · Minimum 2 years of experience in soft tissue surgery. · 1 year of experience in orthopedic surgery (preferred). · Completion of training program at a teaching hospital (preferred). **POSITION FUNCTIONS** The following functions are required: · Perform outpatient procedures. · Maintain individual patient medical records. · Interpret laboratory and diagnostic imaging studies. · Implement and monitor in-hospital treatments. · Provide timely emergency response. · Maintain clean and organized work areas at all times. **RESPONSIBILITIES** The specific responsibilities of this position include: · Interpret diagnostic studies to formulate anesthesia protocols tailored to each patient’s health status. · Perform minor outpatient procedures. · Perform soft tissue surgeries. · Administer local, regional, and/or inhalant anesthesia. · Implement postoperative analgesia protocols. · Assist in orthopedic surgeries. · Advise animal owners on sanitary measures, nutrition, and general care necessary to support proper postoperative recovery. · Complete individual patient records and maintain progress documentation.
