Description and details of activities The Test Engineer is responsible for performing and overseeing electrical testing procedures on HVAC and air\-handling units to ensure they meet all applicable codes, design specifications, and quality standards. This role involves troubleshooting electrical systems, documenting results, ensuring compliance with safety standards, and supporting continuous improvement initiatives within the testing process. * Perform functional and safety tests on electrical panels, control systems, and complete HVAC units. * Interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical specifications. * Ensure all equipment is tested in accordance with UL, NEC, and internal quality standards. * Document test procedures, results, and deviations in an organized and timely manner. * Identify and troubleshoot wiring errors, component failures, or system malfunctions. * Collaborate with design and production teams to resolve electrical issues and improve product reliability. * Calibrate and maintain testing equipment and tools. * Ensure strict adherence to electrical safety protocols and company policies. * Support continuous improvement efforts in test procedures and documentation. Experience and requirements * Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics, or related field; or equivalent work experience. * 2\+ years of experience in electrical testing or quality assurance (preferably in manufacturing or HVAC industry). * Excellent analytical and troubleshooting skills. * Effective communication skills and ability to work in cross\-functional teams. * Experience with HVAC equipment and control systems. * Familiarity with PLCs, VFDs, and Building Automation Systems (BAS). * Bilingual in English and Spanish.
