Description and details of activities **Position: Import Export Specialist** **Location: Mexico\-Tijuana** **Supervisor: Import and Export Coordinator** **Department: Import and Export** **Job Description:** Responsible for preparing documents for the company's product exports, controlling export and purchase expenses. **Job Responsibilities:** * Coordinate with suppliers and customers for the import and/or export of materials * Prepare and review invoices in Annex 24 under different customs regimes for material import or export * Tariff classification of RM, FG, and AF * Assign product codes for CFDI waybill and hazardous materials codes * Create and update part numbers in Annex 24 * Create and update BOMs in Annex 24 * Generate FDA codes to comply with U.S. Customs requirements * Request national and international transport units and coordinate their delivery to destination * Review and compile documents for foreign trade files * Close virtual operations * Consolidate Data Stage vs Annex 24 * Discharge entries in Annex 24 * Prepare letters, summaries, and other information required by FDA * Shipments via UPS, FEDEX, ETC * File import/export customs declarations, including review and reconciliation for closure * Apply tariff benefits for tax exemptions (PROSEC, USMCA, and 8th Rules) * Process prior import permits through VUCEM: COFEPRIS, SEMARNAT, SENER, others * Review RRNA's and TIGIE prior to goods importation * Review invoices and payments to various department suppliers: carriers, customs brokers, forwarders, etc. * Manage process for returning shipping lines' guarantees * Ensure proper compliance with IMMEX, PROSEC, and CIVA programs * Responsibilities may vary and increase according to company needs Experience and Requirements **Minimum Requirements:** * Bachelor’s degree in Foreign Trade and Customs, International Commerce, or International Relations * \+3 years in a similar position * Spoken and written English (Desirable) * Knowledge of Customs Law, LIGIE * Knowledge of Accounting applied to Foreign Trade such as VAT, IEPS, etc. * Knowledge of Annex 24 and 31 * Knowledge of RGCE * Knowledge and application of IMMEX program **Functional Competencies:** * Teamwork * Problem solving * Communication skills * Analytical ability * Results-oriented * Service attitude **Markwins trusts in the capability and potential of each of our employees, partners, and suppliers to contribute to the mission, vision, and goals of our organization; everyone's talent is key.
