Provide technical representation before authorities and stakeholders Description and details of responsibilities At G\-Global, we seek talent with strong experience in tariff classification, regulatory compliance, and technical leadership to join as **Manager – Tariff Classification**. **Position Objective:** To define, govern, and evolve the organization's strategic tariff classification criteria by assessing fiscal and legal risks, developing and validating internal guidelines, and providing technical representation before authorities and stakeholders — thereby protecting the business, ensuring regulatory compliance, preventing contingencies, and enabling strategic foreign trade decisions. **Main Responsibilities:** * Define and approve the strategic framework of internal tariff classification criteria for the organization. * Assess fiscal, legal, and reputational risks associated with tariff classification and establish preventive guidelines. * Validate and authorize sensitive criteria, strategic opinions, or high-impact business classifications. * Provide technical representation for the organization before authorities, external audits, and critical reviews related to tariff classification. * Define the strategy for responding to audits, reviews, and disputes arising from tariff classification. * Ensure alignment of tariff criteria with business strategy, customers, and foreign trade operations. * Approve and oversee the standardization of internal criteria and their correct organizational-wide application. * Analyze high-impact regulatory, tariff, and compliance changes and define their strategic direction. * Define the structure, roles, and capabilities of the Tariff Classification team. * Drive technical evolution of the area through innovation, digitalization, and process improvement. * Escalate and advise Management on tariff-related impacts in strategic business decisions. * Participate in strategic projects related to classification, compliance, and risk prevention. Experience and Requirements **Requirements:** * Bachelor’s degree in International Trade, Customs, International Business, Merchandising, or related field. * 8–10 years of experience in tariff classification and regulatory compliance, including experience in audits and risk management. * Minimum 5 years leading teams. * Advanced knowledge of TIGIE, HTS, strategic opinions, audits, national and international customs regulations, and compliance strategy. * Advanced English (C1\). * Specialized certification in tariff classification or customs compliance is desirable. * Availability for client visits and occasional travel.
