Documentation management and customer service in logistics. **General Job Description:** The freight dispatcher is responsible for coordinating and supervising freight transportation operations, ensuring efficient resource allocation, adherence to schedules, routes, and regulations. Additionally, the role involves providing driver support and maintaining consistent communication to ensure timely and safe cargo delivery. **Primary Responsibilities:** * **Planning and Coordination:** * Assign routes and transport units to drivers according to customer requirements. * Optimize resource utilization to maximize operational efficiency. * Coordinate loading and unloading schedules with customers and terminals. * **Operational Tracking:** * Monitor vehicle status and location via GPS or other tracking systems. * Provide drivers with specific instructions regarding routes, stops, and delivery times. * Monitor compliance with transportation regulations and driver rest periods. * **Customer Service:** * Serve as the primary point of contact for customers regarding shipment status. * Resolve operational or logistical issues arising during transportation. * **Documentation Management:** * Generate and verify documents such as freight bills, invoices, and manifests. * Maintain accurate records of each transportation operation. * **Safety and Compliance:** * Ensure all transportation activities comply with local, national, and international regulations. * Coordinate preventive and corrective maintenance for vehicles. **Requirements:** * Prior experience as a dispatcher or in a similar role (preferably in freight transportation). * Knowledge of the freight transportation industry and applicable regulations in Mexico and the U.S. * Proficiency with GPS tracking systems and logistics management software. * Excellent verbal and written communication skills in Spanish; intermediate or advanced English is desirable. * Ability to work under pressure and resolve problems in real time. * Skill in managing multiple tasks and meeting established deadlines. **Desirable Skills:** * Customer orientation and interpersonal skills. * Proficiency in technological tools such as Excel, ERP systems, or logistics software. * Familiarity with national and international routes, especially between Mexico and the U.S. **Benefits:** * Competitive salary based on experience. * Statutory benefits. * Ongoing training and professional development opportunities.
