SMT Process Engineer

Job description and activity details Responsible for resolving complex issues by coordinating or executing activities within their engineering specialization area, requiring leadership techniques and guidance in analysis and evaluation. Ensure machinery and equipment remain functional and compliant with manufacturing standards. * Develop and improve SMT processes, including optimization of manufacturing equipment and tools * Provide technical support to the manufacturing process * Collaborate with equipment engineering and maintenance teams * Knowledge of solder paste types * Define and design stencils and backup plates * Create and monitor thermal profiles for conventional and nitrogen reflow ovens * Manage SMT assembly programs and process profiles * Tune SMT equipment – FUJI NXTIII, SP – DEK/ASMPT, SPI – KohYoung, AOI – CyberOptics, Reflow Oven – Vitronics \& TSM * Define and implement work instructions for manufacturing and rework processes * Coordinate and execute problem solutions following methodologies such as PDCA, 8D, 5Ws, Ishikawa, including statistical reports for decision-making * Data analysis – Process Capability \& Product Reliability – Execute CPK and CMK studies * Support NPI projects, including stencil validation, SMT programming, and oven profiling * Generate evidence, tracking, and implementation of requirements specified in the NPI procedure and PPAP requirements during new product introduction * Evaluate customer requirements – NPI support, RFQ * Use CAD visualization software * Train operators on new processes and ensure adherence to process documentation * Ensure implementation of actions aligned with FMEA Experience and requirements * Bachelor’s degree in Electronics, Electrical, Mechanical, Electromechanical Engineering, or equivalent. * 5 years of relevant engineering work experience; in-depth knowledge of the electronics industry preferred, especially in the automotive sector. * Excellent communication skills, teamwork ability, personnel management capability, flexibility, and goal-oriented mindset. * *Fluent English, both verbal and written (minimum 80%).* * *Valid U.S. visa.* * Familiarity with IATF 16949 and ISO 14001 standards. * SMT, solder paste printers, pick-and-place machines, reflow ovens, AOI inspection. * Wave/selective soldering machine profile knowledge * Six Sigma methodology * Core tools * Equipment: FUJI, KohYoung, CyberOptics, Vitronics, ASMPT DEK. **Desirable:** * WAVE soldering \- Selective, balancing processes * Knowledge of capacity analysis and model changeovers. * Machine programming skills. * **Knowledge of AutoCAD, Power BI, Agile** * ERP and QAD knowledge is desirable. * Familiarity with NOM\-035 Benefits * Savings fund * Cafeteria * Transportation * Medical expense insurance * Benefits according to the Federal Labor Law (LFT) **Number of vacancies** 1 **Department** Engineering **Employment type** Permanent **Work modality** On-site **Shift** Day shift **Working hours** Full-time **Schedule*** Full-time **Education level** Degree program without completed degree **Willingness to travel** No
