**Position:** Intermediate Network Support Engineer. **Position Objective:** * Provide advanced technical support for the organization’s and our national and international clients’ network infrastructure, ensuring stability, security, and optimal performance of LAN and WAN networks. Resolve complex connectivity issues, perform preventive maintenance, and collaborate on implementing new technological solutions. **Key Responsibilities:** * + Provide advanced technical support to resolve network issues, connectivity failures, and network device configurations. + Serve as the escalation point for complex issues that cannot be resolved by the Junior Network Support Engineer. + Configure, maintain, and troubleshoot routers, switches, firewalls, and wireless access points. + Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on network infrastructure to ensure continuous and efficient operation. + Use monitoring tools to identify performance issues, outages, and network vulnerabilities. + Conduct traffic and latency analysis, proposing solutions to improve network performance. + Support the security team in implementing and managing network security policies and solutions, including firewalls, VPNs, and intrusion detection/prevention systems (IDS/IPS). + Ensure network configurations comply with security standards and protect against potential attacks or intrusions. + Maintain up-to-date technical documentation of the network infrastructure, network diagrams, configurations, and security policies. + Develop and follow standardized procedures for network troubleshooting and infrastructure maintenance. + Collaborate on planning and executing network upgrade or expansion projects, integrating new technologies or migrating existing systems. + Work with IT teams and vendors to implement network solutions that optimize performance and security. **Competencies:** * + Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Telecommunications, or related fields. + Advanced knowledge of networking protocols: TCP/IP, OSPF, BGP, EIGRP, etc. + Configuration and administration of routers, switches, firewalls, access points, and VPNs. + Experience with network monitoring and diagnostic tools (Wireshark, PRTG, Zabbix, etc.). + Knowledge of operating systems and network servers. + Familiarity with protocols such as HTTP, DNS, DHCP, SMTP, SNMP, Telnet, and FTP. + Server security expertise for Linux and Windows. + Knowledge of disaster recovery procedures and services.
