




Position Summary: Coordinate and prepare customs documentation for imports/exports between Mexico and the United States, ensuring regulatory compliance. Key Points: 1. Essential experience in Mexican and U.S. customs laws. 2. Collaboration with customs agencies and transportation companies. 3. Management of procedures before the Ministry of Economy and SEMARNAT. Description and details of responsibilities: Accurate preparation of customs documents for Mexico and the United States for various products, materials, and machinery imported/exported between Mexico and the United States of America, in accordance with procedures and regulations established by relevant government agencies. * Supervises material balances on import entries to ensure proper unloading. * Tracks materials in Transit. * Coordinates with Mexican and North American (U.S.) customs agencies for preparation of import entries and cargo manifests. * Reviews and monitors reports of materials received at APW’s warehouse in the U.S. * Coordinates with transportation companies to secure required vehicles to meet shipping needs. * Prepares and reviews import and export invoices, and submits them to customs agencies. * Maintains the I\-XPORT system updated with information on part numbers for raw materials, finished products, and machinery/equipment. * Tracks the status of shipments in transit. * Coordinates with the shipping warehouse department to locate containers in the loading/unloading area. * Coordinates the filing of import entries, makes corrections when discrepancies arise, and performs virtual entry operations. * Prepares various reports, including INEGI reports and raw material and equipment balance reports. * Prepares bills of materials (BOMs) for finished products. Experience and Requirements: * Internship or professional degree. * Minimum 2\-3 years of essential experience. * Knowledge of inputs, products, raw materials, waste, and manufacturing methods. * Basic knowledge of production and processing. * Up-to-date knowledge of Mexican and U.S. customs laws. * Procedures before the Ministry of Economy and SEMARNAT. * Federal Tax Code (CFF) and Miscellaneous Resolutions. * Knowledge of warehouse material handling. * Logistics, management, and administration of traffic operations. * Safety and use of personal protective equipment (PPE). * Coordination and management of work area activities. Intermediate-level Office software proficiency (creating charts, preparing presentations), Excel. Software: I \- Export or similar (desirable); ERP, PDS or similar systems (desirable).
