Job Summary: The IMPORT-EXPORT Assistant administers the Annex 24 System, prepares customs documentation, and provides support in critical administrative tasks. Key Responsibilities: 1. Efficient administration of the Annex 24 System. 2. Preparation of documentation required by Mexican and U.S. customs. 3. Support in critical administrative tasks arising from audits. Job Description and Detailed Activities The IMPORT\-EXPORT Assistant must be capable of efficiently administering the Annex 24 System through import and export invoices, updating catalogs according to changes in the Customs Law and applicable Miscellaneous Resolutions. Provide support in critical administrative tasks resulting from inquiries or audits conducted by any Customs, Commercial, or Regulatory Authority in Mexico and/or the United States. * Collect information and prepare all documentation required by both Mexican and U.S. customs. * Invoices for import and export under various customs regimes. * Documents prepared on computer or PC. * Import and export tariff rates. * Control of materials and equipment imported to and from Mexico. * Calculation of balancing for each item included in the company's Maquiladora program. * Individually deduct amounts established and permitted under import permits. * Use of computer software for control of Annex 24 of the Customs Law. * Shipment control. * Preparation of NAFTA Certificates of Origin. * Virtual transfers between Maquiladoras. * Monitoring of temporary import permit balances. * Review of import/export permits. * Knowledge of tax deferral programs such as PROSEC and RULE EIGHT. * Knowledge and application of policies and procedures for Quality Management Systems (ISO 13485), Environmental Management System (ISO 14001\), Occupational Health, Safety and Hygiene Management System (OHSAS 18001\), and any other systems required by the company for its operations. Experience and Requirements * Bachelor’s degree in International Trade or International Business. * Minimum required experience: 1 to 3 years. * Basic English language proficiency. * General knowledge of customs law, regulations, and rules. * Knowledge of the Free Trade Agreement (FTA). * Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite. * Preparation of customs documentation. * Ability to analyze information. * Knowledge of INNEX program administration. * Awareness of updates to customs law.
