Description and details of activities * Repair and fabrication of components for injection molds * Operation of equipment and machines in the mold shop such as lathe, milling machine, grinder, welder, among others. * Reading and interpretation of injection mold drawings, tolerances, dimensions, and surface finishes. * Perform polishing finishing according to mold component requirements. * Carry out preventive and corrective maintenance on molds. * Basic knowledge and interpretation of Ohm's law for troubleshooting mold controllers. * Complete mold setup in a timely manner (assigned time or less than the time established in material lists). * On-the-job technical training. * Assist in monitoring the production schedule for upcoming mold requirements and ensure molds are in optimal condition for processing. * Conduct internal leak tests and verify proper flow through the mold. * Perform mold setup tasks by changing inserts as per instructions and report visual defects to the supervisor. * Experience operating an overhead crane and following proper storage procedures. * Responsible for good housekeeping (5S practices) and maintaining a clean and well-organized department. * Maintain mold history and maintenance records. * Keep setup records. Experience and Requirements * High school diploma completed. * Minimum 3 years of experience in machining and maintenance of injection molds. * Good communication and written skills. * Injection mold repairs. * Computer skills: Basic (data entry for application programs and/or text processing). * Basic English (reading and conversation at a technical level). * Basic knowledge of Continuous Improvement; Lean Manufacturing; 5S Methodology.
