General Information * Position: Accountant * Area: Administration / Finance / Accounting * Reports to: Director of Administration and Finance / Accounting Management * Subordinates: Not applicable ⸻ Position Objective Ensure the proper preparation, analysis, and presentation of the company's financial statements and tax filings, guaranteeing compliance with current legal and tax regulations. ⸻ Academic Background * Bachelor's degree in Public Accounting (certified or advanced candidate). * Desired certifications or courses in taxation and accounting software. ⸻ Experience * 2 to 5 years in accounting and tax roles. * Prior experience with the SAT (handling audits, procedures, and compliance). * Experience in a Tax Firm serving clients across various industries. ⸻ Technical Knowledge * Financial Statements: preparation, reconciliation, and analysis. * Income Statement: interpretation and presentation to management. * Taxes: calculation, data entry, and submission of tax returns. * Regulations: tax laws, ISR, IVA, IMSS, Infonavit, annual and monthly obligations. * Accounting Software: proficiency in CONTPAQi Contabilidad and CONTPAQi Nóminas. * Intermediate/advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, formulas, reports). Functions and Responsibilities 1\. Prepare, review, and present monthly and annual financial statements. 2\. Prepare and analyze the income statement and support strategic decision-making. 3\. Calculate, record, and submit federal and state taxes on time. 4\. Perform bank reconciliations and validate accounting entries. 5\. Supervise and verify accurate data entry in CONTPAQi. 6\. Follow up on tax audits and respond to SAT requirements. 7\. Ensure the company's legal and tax compliance in all obligations. 8\. Prepare financial and tax reports for management. 9\. Assist in tax planning and budgeting. 10\.
