Collaborate with cross-functional teams and provide technical leadership. Job Description and Responsibilities In this role, you will assist in the design, development, and testing of new products. This role manages all technical elements to maintain required product performance and schedules. **Responsibility** * Develop new products that meet customer requirements to defined project timelines. * Determining the most cost\-effective and efficient manufacturing processes, materials, and assembly procedures. * Work with Product Management, Applications Engineering, and manufacturing teams to align product features with product needs and confirm feasibility * Own engineering release of product documentation: CAD models, Drawings and BOM * Create initial product entry (BOM, RT) into ERP system and maintain changes * Design extrusion dies and process tools as required * Cost calculations for new products and customer prototypes preparation * Coordinate prototype build plans and evaluation through physical lab testing * Work with suppliers to identify material alternative solutions based on market trends * Define and conduct all necessary tests to meet customer and industry standard requirements * Address requests for product extensions, drawing changes, and engineering quotes. * Work closely with cross functional team, provide technical leadership to enable the commitment and execution of project goals to defined targets. * Prepare project status reports and communicates to management team. Experience and Requirements * Bachelor’s degree in engineering with 2 years related wire and cable design experience * Working knowledge of cable manufacturing processes * Lead product development through the product development life cycle. * Good communication and English language skills and ability to work in international project teams * Project Management experience preferred. * Windchill, SAP, and SolidWorks experience.
