Its offerings include: * **Gas Turbine Packages** : + **Compressor Sets** for gas transmission and production + **Generator Sets** for power generation, including cogeneration applications * **Lifecycle Services** : + **Aftermarket upgrades** , **controls retrofits** , and **refurbishment** + **Field service** , **technical training** , and **digital monitoring** Solar serves customers in **over 100 countries** , supporting installations from **offshore oil platforms** to **universities and hospitals** , adapting solutions to regional and operational needs. **The Customer Services Package Refurbishment and Upgrades (PRU) Engineering** provides engineered solutions in support customer\-specific aftermarket business opportunities. **The Controls Engineer Responsibilities:** * Design of turbine and driven equipment control system upgrades to existing fielded equipment for specific customer sales orders as part of a multi\-disciplined project execution team. * Projects range from replacing the entire control system to modifying existing control systems to add or delete functionality based on customer requirements. * Initial focus on the manufacturing role to become acquainted with the PRU sales order project process and controls tools and then transition to include controls design responsibilities. Deliverables \- Bill of Material, Panel and Box Layout manufacturing drawings, Electrical schematic, Interconnect wiring schedule, Controller and display (HMI) software * Minimum Qualifications: * Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering, Electric, Mechatronic, Electromechanics, Electronic. * Minimum 3\.0 grade point average (on 4\.0 scale) * 0\-1 years of relevant experience * Fluent in English, both verbal and written * Working knowledge of PLC (programmable logic controller) software * Working knowledge of the basic theory of industrial control system applications, design, and operation Preferred Qualifications: * A degree related internship * Desired technical skills include programming of Rockwell Automation PLC 5 and ControlLogix 5000 processors * Ability to write and communicate ideas clearly * Ability to work well with others, team spirit, and flexibility with personal schedule to meet deadlines * A sense of urgency and organizational skills are also required to work with multiple projects and competing priorities. **Posting Dates:** December 10, 2025 \- December 21, 2025 Caterpillar is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
