Position Summary: The Electrical Design Engineer position involves performing electrical design, support, and testing for electronic circuits, solid-state and hybrid technology systems within R&D. Job Description and Activity Details * The Electrical Design Engineer will execute electrical design, support, and testing assignments for electronic circuits, solid-state and hybrid technology systems during deployment, design, and development stages. * Will be responsible for supporting analog and digital circuit design, including PCB schematic capture and layout, and corresponding documentation generation using ECAD, while working within an R\&D structure. * Develop, debug, and optimize embedded firmware (C/C\+\+) for microcontrollers. Troubleshoot and resolve firmware\-related issues. * Implement and enhance communication protocols such as IO\-Link, BACnet, CANbus, and Modbus RTU. * Knowledge of electrical design methodology and practices, test equipment, and some knowledge and experience with test engineering platforms such as LabVIEW. * Support in generating, following, and executing test plans under specified conditions, verifying circuit functionality independently or in coordination with other systems. * Involvement in product development and related aspects of electrical design projects, including prototype evaluation and qualification, supporting the product design process and collaborating with mechanical engineers, test engineers, and process/industrialization engineers. * High performer, capable of participating in technical project execution, demonstrating accountability for successful and timely completion of assigned tasks, corresponding deliverables, and product cost targets. * Ability to organize and write technical test reports from assigned test activities/projects; proactive, aware of and applying observed technical lessons; self\-learning and self\-motivated. * Participate in project planning definition for R\&D projects and support assignments. * Provide technical support to Product Support Engineers to enable successful sales conversion by analyzing technical problems from field system applications and customers’ special requests. Experience and Requirements * 3\+ years of experience in new product development process. * 3\+ years of experience in product support. * 3\+ years of experience in product electrical design. * Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent. * Knowledge of new product development, printed circuit board design and optimization, hands\-on laboratory experience to test and verify performance of new designs and systems. * Experience with UL certification and FCC EMC/EMI compliance. * Knowledge of computer architecture, digital electronics, and microcontroller principles. * Familiarity with firmware development tools and debugging techniques. * Knowledge of Circuit Design software (ECAD) and Circuit Simulation software. * Proficiency in English (80%), knowledge of MS Office. * Some experience or knowledge in LabVIEW programs for testing. * U.S. Visa. * Experience with Engineering Change Orders (ECO) processes, BOM structure generation, and New Product Introduction is a plus. * Excellent communication and teamwork skills. **Desired additional qualifications:** * Scrum. * Basic Agile background. * Green Belt Six Sigma knowledge/training.
