SMT Technician

Description

Position Summary: We are seeking an SMT Technician to assist in NPI validations, develop programs for SMT equipment, improve model changeovers, and optimize processes to reduce defects and downtime. Key Highlights: 1. Assistance in NPI validations and SMT program development 2. SMT process optimization and defect reduction 3. Diagnosis and resolution of SMT equipment failures Description and details of responsibilities * Assist the SMT team in performing NPI validations. * Develop programs for solder paste printers, pick-and-place machines, AOI for solder paste printers, AOI for SMT, reflow temperature profiles, and X-ray inspection equipment. * Develop and improve SMT line model changeovers. * Modify programs and processes to accommodate engineering changes. * Reduce equipment downtime. * Provide solutions to reduce defects. * Perform quality inspections on repaired units according to the checklist. * Participate in and support environmental, health, and safety objectives, goals, and programs. Experience and Requirements * Knowledge of NPI (New Product Introduction) processes. * Experience programming SMT equipment, including: solder paste printers, pick-and-place machines, AOI (for solder paste printers and SMT). * Proficiency in managing reflow and other thermal process temperature profiles. * Ability to perform efficient model changeovers on SMT lines. * Modification of programs and processes per engineering changes. * Diagnosis and resolution of failures to reduce downtime. * Implementation of improvements to reduce manufacturing defects.
