Description

Description and details of activities The Pressure Sensor Engineer \- Electrical Engineer will be engaged in two phases of custom pressure sensor design: one, to develop conceptual designs to agreed to specifications, develop cost models and investment needs, and supporting collaboration with the customer’s engineering team to win new business, developing conceptual samples; two, design execution from project kickoff (after an award of business) to start of production, including designing, testing, writing test plans, executing test plans, writing test reports, More specifically, the pressure sensor engineer will focus on pressure sensors for automotive and HVOR applications. The engineer will develop sensor specific schematics, layouts, test and validate hardware, and leverage an internal product development methodology from project kickoff to start of production. A well\-rounded candidate would also have responsibility for developing and validating the firmware for the pressure sensor. **Roles and Responsibilities:** * Design execution from project kickoff to start of production * Engineering design that includes developing product requirements, creating prototype samples, mitigating risks, testing, developing new product cost estimates * Project management of simultaneous projects * Collaboration with suppliers to support project deliverables and timing. * Develop robust engineering solutions, which solve customer problems, by collaborating with engineering peers, testing prototypes, and mitigating risks through design reviews and FMEAs * Develop engineer\-to\-engineer relationships with customers to drive deeper discussions on given projects and opportunities * Work with manufacturing to successfully launch new products, to drive cost out projects and collaborate on process equipment/tooling requirements * Understand Gantt charts, commitments, and timeliness. Mitigate risks as they are identified * As required, engage in root cause analysis and implementation of corrective action Experience and requirements **Qualifications / Requirements:** * Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering (minimum), a plus to have 7 years’ experience in the automotive/battery/electric vehicle sensor/product environment * Ability to fluently speak and write in the English language * Skilled at writing reports * Skilled at public speaking in front of customers and other employees * Skilled with laboratory equipment/tools to support engineering development, testing, and validation (oscilloscopes, EMC testing, environmental chambers, data acquisition, etc.) * Working knowledge of MEMS\-based pressure sensors * Manufacturing knowledge of MEMS\-based pressure sensors (die attach, wire bonding, calibration, plasma cleaning, etc.) * Skilled with circuit design, schematic layout and working with contract manufacturers on design for manufacturability for PCBA’s * Skilled with the design and execution of design\-of\-experiments * Skilled with the execution of product validation testing * Ability to travel domestically and internationally when required * Working knowledge of APQP, DFMEA, PFMEA Benefits * Benefits according to LFT * Uniforms * Guaranteed bonuses * Onsite medical services * Cafeteria * Life insurance * Savings fund * Medical expense insurance **Number of vacancies** 1 **Area** Engineering **Contract** Permanent **Modality** Onsite **Shift** Daytime **Workload** Full Time **Schedule*** Monday to Friday **Education** Professional degree **English** Spoken: Advanced, Written: Advanced **Travel availability** No
