




Job Description and Activity Details **JOB DESCRIPTION:** Plans, coordinates, and executes tasks related to the development of new products. Designs and develops major new products and processes with a high degree of complexity; manages all aspects of project activity to ensure proper completion through implementation in production; provides engineering support for existing products; redesigns current products to improve profitability, performance, quality, and reliability. **ACTIVITY DETAILS:** 1\. Responsible for the design of electrical/electronic circuits regarding EMI/EMC. 2\. Develops contact and non-contact sensors and controls using proven technologies. 3\. Leads the design and testing of sensors and controls to meet requirements. 4\. Develops product specifications and test requirements. 5\. Collaborates with the product development team to develop conceptual design and subsequently build and test prototypes. 6\. Collaborates with the team and plant suppliers to obtain quotes for prototype and production. 7\. Acts as technical subject matter expert for account managers and program managers regarding technical requirements. 8\. Plans and executes electronic test methods and procedures for product evaluation or process control. 9\. Designs, modifies, and fabricates analog and digital circuit and device prototypes. 10\. Supports the interdisciplinary team in investigating technical issues in products, processes, and quality control related to electrical and electronic engineering. 11\. Performs statistical analysis to track and analyze trends, focusing on recommending actions to solve complex problems and improve processes. 12\. Reviews and approves engineering change notices. 13\. Defines design verification and validation plans for engineering changes and new designs. Experience and Requirements **EDUCATION:** Bachelor's degree in electrical/electronic engineering. **TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE:** Demonstrated ability to perform the functions listed. Minimum of five (5) years of related engineering experience, with demonstrated capability to design, develop, and launch large-scale, high technical complexity products into manufacturing. **INTERPERSONAL SKILLS:** * Flexible and able to work in dynamic environments and frequently travel. * Demonstrates independence, resourcefulness, and organizational and prioritization skills. * Possesses strong work ethic and cultural sensitivity; approachable and leads by example. * Develops and maintains strong working relationships with customers, partners, suppliers, and internal company departments. * Ability to read and interpret engineering documents. * Competent in performing statistical analyses using spreadsheets and other software tools. * Competent in budgeting for individual projects. * English 80% **COMMUNICATION:** **ORAL:** Good verbal skills required for: * Delivering effective presentations and responding accurately and clearly to questions from team members, supervisors, clients, and suppliers. * Communicating instructions and presenting ideas, concepts, and solutions to employees and suppliers at all levels. * Bilingual in English/Spanish. **WRITTEN:** Good writing skills required for: * Conveying ideas, complex concepts, and detailed technical analyses clearly and understandably in writing to team members, supervisors, clients, and suppliers. * Providing instructions and presenting ideas, concepts, and solutions to employees and suppliers at all levels through letters, memos, graphs, and tables.
