**What you’ll do:** ------------------- Review and understand specifications, select materials, set up and operate conventional and CNC equipment, select cutting tools for their various applications, use measuring instruments and be capable of inspecting one's own work. Fabricate tools, prototypes, and fixtures to facilitate production part manufacturing. Knowledge of materials and heat treatment required for different applications. Knowledge of MIG and TIG welding, with or without filler metal. Reading and interpretation of blueprints. **Key Responsibilities** * Support manufacturing **\-** Identify issues related to product, process, and quality; provide recommendations and solutions \- Authorized to initiate actions to prevent occurrence of any nonconformity related to product, process, or quality system.\- Identify and document any issues related to product, process, or quality system. Initiate, recommend, or provide solutions through tooling or fixture fabrication to properly resolve issues \- Design fixtures or tools via reverse engineering \#LI\-EM **Qualifications:** ------------------- **Education/Previous Experience Requirements** Electromechanical Technician, Mechanical Technician, or Lathe Technician * 5 years of experience * Use of surface grinder, lathe, and milling machine * Blueprint reading and comprehension * Basic knowledge of CNC **Skills:** ----------- * Knowledge of behavior of materials and hardness * Basic knowledge of mathematics, geometry, trigonometry * Calculation of cutting feeds and speeds * Selection of tools and cutting geometries * Ability to work under minimal supervision * Ability to concentrate
