Phoenix Diseño y Manufactura is a fast-growing certified company dedicated to the design and manufacturing of lightweight structures and ornamental iron and steel elements. We are seeking an experienced project manager. **Please apply only local candidates from Tijuana.** Metal-mechanical industry experience is mandatory. The project manager is responsible for directing, coordinating, implementing, and controlling projects in which the company designs and manufactures products for clients—primarily construction contractors in Southern California. * Manages the company's projects * Understands primary objectives of internal or external clients * Identifies problem/solution for each project * Manages timelines, establishes or adjusts project schedules to meet delivery deadlines * Manages client expectations and interprets their needs to work toward successful outcomes * Is responsible for **leading** the team to complete projects within established timeframes * Ø Responsible for coordinating all design-related matters with clients for projects * Helps **ensure that multidisciplinary teams** building the project **collaborate seamlessly**, so projects are delivered on time * Responsible for ensuring all expectations are properly set * Reviews optimization of outcome timelines * Proposes and/or makes strategic decisions * Acts as an excellent communicator, presenting creative work and direction to clients and translating their feedback into actionable tasks for creatives * · Prepares project estimates and costings * · Serves as liaison and communication channel between external clients and internal clients * · Plans and administers client projects * · Develops project schedules, secures raw material and/or machinery resources, and monitors progress of client projects * · Determines client project delivery dates jointly with the Production team * · Secures approval of fabrication drawings; maintains up-to-date, organized, and clear project information and documentation in Dropbox * · Manages procurement of key raw materials to ensure timely and proper execution of projects * Prepares project kickoff forms called “California 20\-day Preeliminary Notice” * · Updates and maintains the “backlog”, “Priority List SMD”, and “Priority SSW” Other Activities · Participates in company improvement projects aimed at organizational growth. Conducts follow-up meetings regarding production, certifications, implementations, etc. * High proficiency in Microsoft Office applications * Required skills: communication, negotiation, networking, planning and organization, analytical ability, teamwork, attention to detail * The ideal candidate will be responsible for planning, coordinating, and executing projects within agreed budget, schedule, and scope.
