Clear path to expanded responsibility as the firm grows ### **Executive Assistant – Systematic Commodities Hedge Fund** Moreton Capital Partners is seeking a highly organized, proactive Executive Assistant to work directly with the CIO and leadership team to support daily operations and help scale a fast\-growing quantitative hedge fund. We are growing a global commodities investment platform powered by machine learning and institutional\-grade infrastructure. The pace is fast, the team is lean, and priorities evolve quickly. This role is designed to create leverage. Your job is to remove friction, anticipate needs before they arise, and ensure leadership can focus on investing, research, and capital raising rather than administration. Beyond traditional EA responsibilities, this role will also support talent acquisition and strategic initiatives as the firm grows, making it closer to an Operations Lead or Junior Chief of Staff trajectory over time. You will sit at the center of the firm and be trusted with sensitive, business\-critical work from day one. ### **What you will work on** * Managing complex calendars, investor calls, and cross\-time\-zone scheduling * Coordinating travel, logistics, and operational support for research and investor trips * Organizing investor materials, reporting packs, and data room updates * Supporting hiring processes: sourcing, coordinating interviews, and candidate experience * Assisting with recruiting pipelines for engineers, quants, and interns * Driving internal projects and strategic initiatives across operations, hiring, and infrastructure * Preparing documents, presentations, and internal communications * Acting as a central hub across leadership, research, and external partners * Handling ad\-hoc operational tasks that keep the firm running smoothly ### **Key Responsibilities** * Own and optimize the CIO’s schedule and priorities * Coordinate investor, broker, and partner meetings end\-to\-end * Track recruiting pipelines and help execute hiring plans * Liaise with universities, recruiters, and candidates * Manage vendors, office operations, and administrative processes * Maintain organized documentation, contracts, and internal systems * Ensure projects and deadlines stay on track across teams * Proactively identify gaps and implement better processes * Support broader strategic initiatives as the firm scales **Requirements** * 2–5\+ years experience as an Executive Assistant, Operations Coordinator, or similar role * Exceptional organization and attention to detail * Strong written and verbal communication skills (English required) * Comfortable juggling multiple priorities in a fast\-paced environment * Highly proactive and resourceful mindset * Discretion and professionalism with sensitive information * Strong proficiency with Google Workspace, Excel, and productivity tools * Interest in business operations and scaling teams ### **Bonus Points For** * Experience in finance, startups, or investment management * Exposure to recruiting or talent acquisition * Project or operations management experience * Notion, Slack, or modern workflow tools * Desire to grow into a Chief of Staff or Operations Lead role ### **Why this role is unique** * Direct exposure to fund leadership and investors * Broad ownership well beyond a traditional EA remit * Mix of operations, recruiting, and strategic work * High impact in a small, ambitious team * Clear path to expanded responsibility as the firm grows **Benefits** * Market leading benefits * High responsibility from day one * Performance bonus tied to firm growth and personal performance (up to 3x salary)
