WASTEWATER OPERATOR

**Job Objective / General Responsibility** Responsible for operating, monitoring, and controlling the wastewater treatment plant and water supply systems, ensuring continuous availability of this resource for plant operations. Ensures compliance with quality, industrial safety, and applicable environmental regulations, maintaining operational efficiency and proper functioning of equipment and facilities. **Main Responsibilities** * Operate and supervise the wastewater treatment plant and associated hydraulic systems. * Ensure continuous and efficient water supply to various operational areas. * Monitor and control operational and physicochemical water parameters in accordance with specifications and internal procedures. * Ensure compliance with current quality, safety, and environmental regulatory standards. * Maintain equipment and facilities in optimal operating condition through inspections and basic preventive maintenance. * Detect, report, and follow up on operational failures or deviations that may affect the process. **Activities and Functions** * Operate wastewater treatment equipment. * Monitor water levels, flow rates, pressure, and physicochemical parameters. * Perform chemical dosing according to established procedures and specifications. * Verify operation of pumps, valves, filters, and distribution systems. * Ensure continuous water supply to different areas of the plant. * Collect samples and record analysis and operational control results. * Prepare and maintain updated operational logs and records. * Detect and report failures, leaks, or deviations in treatment and supply systems. * Carry out cleaning and basic maintenance of equipment, pipelines, and facilities. * Comply with industrial safety regulations and proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE). * Follow up on compliance with applicable quality parameters and environmental regulations. * Maintain order and cleanliness in the water treatment and operational area. **Desirable Technical Knowledge** * Operation of wastewater treatment plants (WWTPs). * Water pumping and distribution systems. * Handling and dosing of chemical products. * Basic interpretation of water physicochemical parameters. * Operation of pumps, filters, valves, and hydraulic equipment. * Completion of operational logs and records. * Industrial safety and PPE handling. * Basic knowledge of environmental regulations and water treatment. **Required Experience** Desirable experience in operating water treatment plants or similar industrial processes, preferably in food or continuous manufacturing industries. **Preferred Industries** * Vegetable oils and fats * Flour mills * Bakeries * Dairy products * Bottling plants * Meat processing * Canned goods * Confectionery **Work Schedule: Monday to Sunday with rotating days off** **Weekly shift rotation of 3 shifts** Availability to work rotating shifts according to plant operations.
