To fulfill its vital mission, it is seeking a(n): **Accounting Analyst** If you are a responsible, enthusiastic, empathetic, assertive, inclusive individual motivated to advance human development—particularly for diverse families, children, adolescents, and youth in vulnerable situations—you are the person we are looking for! **You are the person we are looking for!** **Position Objective:** Ensure that expenditures generated by programs comply with budgetary controls and current tax requirements, guaranteeing correct application of accounting policies and procedures. **Key Responsibilities:** 1\. Monitor and review program-related expenditures to ensure compliance with budgetary controls and tax requirements. 2\. Accurately and promptly record all accounting transactions related to program expenditures. 3\. Perform calculations and prepare monthly and annual tax returns, ensuring compliance with current regulations. 4\. Participate in the preparation and review of reports requested by internal and external audits, providing clear and accurate information. 5\. Control inventory and fixed assets, ensuring their proper accounting and maintenance in financial records. 6\. Provide backup support to payroll coordination, assisting in the administration and verification of employee payments and other payroll-related matters. 7\. Identify and report any deviations or irregularities in expenditures and assets, proposing corrective measures to ensure the integrity of financial information. 8\. Coordinate with other departments to improve budgetary control processes and ensure compliance with tax requirements. · **Department:** Finance and Control · **Position Type:** Administrative · **Working Hours:** Mon–Thu 9:00 AM–6:00 PM; Fri 9:00 AM–3:00 PM · **Work Modality:** On-site **Knowledge Requirements:** · Experience in **payroll management**, including calculation, recording, and verification of employee payments, as well as **compliance with labor and tax regulations**. · Knowledge of current Mexican tax regulations, including **preparation and filing of monthly and annual tax returns**, and application of tax regulations to expenditures and donations. · Proficiency in using **accounting and financial systems**, to perform accurate entries, generate reports, and efficiently manage accounting information. · Knowledge of developing and implementing **internal control and audit processes**, to ensure accuracy of accounting records and financial transparency. · Knowledge of preparing **financial reports**, delivering clear and useful information for decision-making and auditing of programs and funds. · Familiarity with tools for **financial planning and KPI tracking**, to enhance budgetary control and evaluate the financial performance of programs. **Requirements:** · **Academic Level:** Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, Economics, or related field. The selected candidate must undergo multiple screening steps—including criminal background checks and professional and personal reference verifications—to assess suitability for employment with SOS Children's Villages. During the selection process, the candidate’s motivation and attitude toward safeguarding, as well as their capacity to perform the duties of the position, will be assessed.
