General Accountant Salary: MXN 17,000 net monthly Company: Punto Sao Paulo Location: Colonia Providencia, Guadalajara, Jalisco Working Hours: 7:30 \- 16:00 hrs, Monday to Friday Position Summary: You will be responsible for managing and optimizing accounting, collections, and billing processes, ensuring timely compliance with pending recordkeeping requirements and contributing to the company’s cash flow. Key Responsibilities: Monitor customer accounts receivable. Make phone calls, send emails, and issue payment reminders to customers. Prepare and send account statements. Record and apply payments in the accounting system. Reconcile received payments against invoices. Support preparation of collections reports (overdue accounts receivable, current accounts receivable). Maintain up-to-date customer information. Route customer incidents or clarifications to the appropriate department. Support overdue accounts receivable recovery in accordance with established policies. Safeguard and archive documentation related to collections. Request payment receipts from customers. Report overdue accounts or incidents to the immediate supervisor. Review and record tax receipts. Compare SAT receipts with supplier receipts. Organize documentation for accounting purposes. Review and request necessary supporting documentation for accounting from other departments. Input invoices into the accounting system under the corresponding journal entries. Track payments. Resolve issues and provide customer service. Generate reports. Requirements: Completed Bachelor’s degree in Accounting. Knowledge of the full accounting cycle aligned with procedures, journal entries, expense movements, purchases, revenues, and strong numerical analysis skills. Familiarity with accounting standards and up-to-date knowledge of accounting regulations. Proficiency in accounting systems and specialized financial management software (Contpaq/Contabilizador or Alpha preferred). Ability to effectively manage multiple tasks and priorities.
