**CARGO INSPECTOR** **JOB SUMMARY:** Supervise and verify compliance with regulations and standards for air cargo transportation, ensuring that all inspection and security procedures are carried out efficiently and in accordance with applicable legislation. **RESPONSIBILITIES**: * Conduct physical and documentary inspections of cargo to verify compliance with security requirements, transportation regulations, and customs regulations. * Identify hazardous, perishable, prohibited, or restricted goods and ensure they are properly labeled and packaged. * Inspect cargo to ensure that the corresponding documentation is complete, accurate, and in order (e.g., air waybills, security certificates, customs licenses, etc.). * Review cargo shipments to confirm their suitability for air transport, including correct classification, labeling, and packaging in accordance with International Air Transport Association (IATA) regulations and other competent authorities’ requirements. * Review and verify customs and security documentation associated with each cargo shipment, such as air waybills, commercial invoices, packing lists, special permits, and other required documents. * Detect any cargo that fails to comply with regulations or poses a risk to safety, health, or the environment. * Prepare and submit detailed reports on inspections conducted, indicating findings, actions taken, and recommendations. **REQUIRED PROFILE:** Prior experience in customer service, cargo handling, or the aviation sector (preferred). **SKILLS:** Observational ability and attention to detail, capability to identify irregularities and make prompt decisions, ability to work under pressure and in high-security environments. **LANGUAGES:** No additional language is required for this position. **KNOWLEDGE** **REQUIRED:** Knowledge of international air transport regulations, familiarity with cargo security and control regulations, understanding of customs and cargo inspection procedures. **EDUCATION:** Technical or university education in logistics, transportation, airport security, international trade, or related fields.
