Account Representative I

**SUMMARY:** The Account Representative I is primarily responsible for building or expanding their business portfolio by converting customers from competitors and growing their assigned mid-sized accounts into large accounts. This position fosters customer satisfaction by maintaining consistent contact with customers and managing their expectations. **JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:** * Increase revenue and profitability through generating new business and continuously developing existing accounts. * Generate new sales opportunities (leads) via networking, cold calling, and research across various directories and internet sites. * Routinely interact with customers in person to foster strong relationships and maintain their satisfaction. * Understand customers’ complex requirements for preparing customized quotations. * Deliver effective sales presentations and ensure technical requirements are met. * Assist in resolving technical issues at customer facilities. * Collaborate and coordinate with supplier resources to build relationships and support sales. * Perform other assigned tasks. **EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:** * Bachelor’s degree required; zero (0\) to two (2\) years of experience. * Bilingual: Spanish/English. Intermediate/advanced English level (ability to communicate fluently in technical conversations). * Willingness to travel. **KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:** * Knowledge of industrial products: power transmission, hydraulic, pneumatic, and industrial products. * Excellent written and verbal communication skills. * A deep understanding of key sales principles and best practices. * Ability to influence customers while maintaining healthy relationships. * Ability to take initiative and work with limited direction. * Ability to multitask and manage time effectively. * Proficiency in Microsoft Office. **COMPANY INFORMATION:** Motion Industries offers an excellent benefits package that includes major medical, dental, vacation, and paid holidays. **DISCLAIMER:** This job description illustrates the general nature and level of work performed by employees within this job classification.
