Receiving, inspecting, and organizing merchandise Job Description: Pharmacy Counter Salesperson The Pharmacy Counter Assistant is responsible for delivering quality customer service and support by selling and dispensing medications and pharmaceutical products in accordance with established procedures and current health regulations. Additionally, this role supports inventory control, merchandise organization, and maintaining a clean and orderly work area to ensure the pharmacy operates effectively. Functions and Responsibilities * Provide personalized customer service and basic guidance regarding pharmaceutical and personal care products. * Dispense medications and products according to medical prescriptions and customer requests. * Operate the cash register, process payments, and manage cash and bank terminal transactions. * Receive, inspect, and organize merchandise per internal procedures. * Verify product expiration dates and optimal storage conditions for medications. * Maintain a clean, organized, and well-stocked work area. * Assist with physical inventory counts and stock level monitoring. * Comply with hygiene, safety, and customer service standards. Position Profile * Minimum education: Completed secondary school or high school diploma. * Prior experience in customer service or sales (preferably in a pharmacy setting). * Basic knowledge of medications and pharmaceutical products. * Fundamental computer and point-of-sale system skills. * Flexible availability for scheduling.
