Job Summary: The Warehouse Associate manages shipping and receiving, ensuring accurate and timely delivery of items and proper inventory maintenance. Key Highlights: 1. Opportunity to operate forklifts and process sales. **SUMMARY:** Under direct supervision, the Warehouse Associate performs all shipping and receiving activities for a branch. This position ensures that customers receive the correct items in a timely manner and that all in-stock merchandise is properly maintained. **JOB DUTIES:** * Determine which items must be selected, verified, and shipped according to the sales order. * Prepare orders according to the sales order and verify them again to ensure accuracy. * Prepare items for delivery to the customer. Secure packages to ensure they are not damaged during shipment to the customer. * Prepare customer returns for shipment back to the Distribution Center, Order Processing Center, or supplier. * Sort and place materials or items on shelves, racks, or containers according to the established MINO product coding system. * Ensure any damaged or non-conforming inventory is reported to the warehouse supervisor immediately. * Maintain a clean, well-organized, and safe work environment. * May deliver items to customers; obtain the customer’s signature to validate receipt of items. * May process counter sales or invoices for customers. * May operate a forklift or similar equipment. * Receive items in the computer system to reflect which items are available for customers. * Perform other assigned tasks. **EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:** * High school diploma or equivalent typically required. **KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:** * Basic math and reading comprehension skills. * Basic computer skills. * Bilingual: Spanish/English. Intermediate/advanced English level (ability to communicate fluently in technical conversations). **PHYSICAL DEMANDS:** * Must be able to move up to 100 pounds (approximately 45 kg) and lift up to 50 pounds (approximately 22.7 kg). **LICENSES AND CERTIFICATIONS:** * Forklift operation certification may be required. * Valid driver’s license and good driving record required. **COMPANY INFORMATION:** Motion Industries offers an excellent benefits package including major medical, dental, vacation, and paid holidays. **DISCLAIMER:** This job description illustrates the general nature and level of work performed by employees within this job classification.
