





Job Profile: Quantity Surveyor Engineer Department: Engineering / Projects / Budgeting Reports to: Engineering Manager or Project Manager 1. Purpose of the Position Accurately quantify materials, components, and processes involved in structural steel projects, ensuring reliable budgets and optimal resource utilization. 2. Key Responsibilities - Interpret architectural and structural drawings. - Prepare fabrication and erection take-offs. - Identify discrepancies in drawings. - Generate preliminary and final cost estimates. - Coordinate with engineering, production, and procurement teams. - Prepare calculation reports and documentation. - Participate in project meetings and document changes. 3. Required Profile Academic Qualifications: - Bachelor’s degree in Civil, Industrial, Structural Engineering, or related field. Experience: - Minimum 2 years in quantity surveying or budgeting for structural steel projects. Technical Knowledge: - Structural steel quantity take-off. - Fabrication and erection processes. - Compliance with AISC, AWS, and NOM standards. - AutoCAD (mandatory), Tekla/Revit (preferred), advanced Excel. Competencies: - Attention to detail, analytical thinking, teamwork, assertive communication. 4. Performance Indicators - Accuracy of take-offs versus actual quantities. - Adherence to delivery timelines. - Reduction in detected errors. - Cost management efficiency. 5. Working Conditions Work Modality: On-site Location: Av. La Piedrera 8005, Minerales, Lomas del Aeropuerto, 45692 Las Pintitas, Jal. Availability for occasional site or workshop visits.
