Coordination and supervision of operational staff A company in the wood industry is seeking a Production Engineer. **Education** * Industrial Engineering, Process Engineering, or Production Engineering. * CIVIL ENGINEERING OR CONSTRUCTION ENGINEERING NOT ELIGIBLE; APPLICATIONS WILL NOT BE CONSIDERED. **Experience** * 2 years in similar positions within the wood or furniture industry. * Experience managing teams of over 50 employees. **Experience in the wood industry** **Job Objective** To plan, coordinate, and optimize plant production processes, ensuring adherence to production schedules, product quality, efficient resource utilization, and compliance with safety standards, with emphasis on waste reduction and continuous improvement. **Main Functions and Responsibilities** * Plan and monitor daily and weekly production schedules. * Supervise wood transformation processes (cutting, drying, machining, assembly, and finishing, as applicable). * Optimize raw material yield, reducing losses and waste. * Coordinate operational staff to ensure achievement of production, quality, and delivery-time targets. * Implement process improvements using continuous improvement methodologies (Lean, 5S, Kaizen, etc.). * Monitor performance indicators (productivity, efficiency, scrap, rework). * Ensure compliance with technical specifications and product quality standards. * Coordinate with maintenance, quality, and warehouse departments to guarantee operational continuity. * Verify compliance with industrial safety and hygiene regulations. * Train staff on processes, machinery operation, and best operational practices. * Prepare production reports and performance analysis for management.
