Job Objective: Install database management systems (DBMS) such as SQL Server. Configure development, testing, and production environments. Design efficient and normalized database structures. Define schemas, relationships, indexes, and constraints. Monitor database performance. Optimize SQL queries and structures to improve response times. Perform preventive and corrective maintenance. Control user access and permissions. Implement disaster recovery and backup policies. Schedule and verify automated backups. Restore databases in case of failures or data loss. Create scripts for repetitive tasks (backups, log cleanup, index maintenance). Provide support to developers and data analysts. Collaborate with development teams to implement new features. Document processes and database changes. Migrate databases between versions or platforms. Apply security patches and updates. Creation of reports and dashboards for strategic decision-making.
