Descripción del empleo: The Sales Manager for Convenience Stores in Mexico is responsible for driving topline growth, optimizing in\-store execution, and strengthening distributor engagement to expand market share and profitability for General Mills brands. This role requires strategic planning, strong customer relationship management, and data\-driven decision\-making to maximize business opportunities. The position demands a high level of collaboration with distributors and internal cross\-functional teams to plan, develop, and execute best\-in\-class trade strategies, promotional activities, and the launch of key initiatives that drive sustainable growth while ensuring an efficient and engaging shopping experience for customers. Core Responsibilities of the role: Sales Growth \& Market Execution* Design and implement sales plans by cluster and product category. * Develop and execute sales strategies to accelerate growth through improved distribution, promotions, and in\-store execution. * Strengthen distributor partnerships to optimize product availability, visibility, and execution at the point of sale. * Lead and execute key initiatives, including planograms, promotions, and customized go\-to\-market plans, aligned with priority brand strategies. * Conduct trade and field visits to assess execution quality, gather insights, and identify areas for improvement. Strategic Planning \& Budget Management* Define and implement short\- and long\-term customer/channel\-specific growth strategies to drive sustainable business expansion and market penetration. * Lead and oversee key seasonal commercial planning, product launches and trade execution. * Develop and monitor annual budget planning, including volume forecasting and trade investment optimization. * Conduct monthly assessments and business reviews in collaboration with the distributor to evaluate business targets, risks, and opportunities. * Set KPIs and ensure performance tracking, reporting, and continuous improvement. Customer Relationship Management* Build strong and long\-lasting relationships with key distributor team and key customers. * Align business goals between General Mills, distributor, and customers through Joint Business Planning (JBP). * Ensure effective promotional planning and execution to maximize ROI and sales impact. * Support product launches with customized go\-to\-market materials and presentations tailored to each retail partner. * Train and develop distributor sales teams to achieve and sustain Class A execution. Operating plan execution and management:* Increase expansion of freezer placement based on socioeconomic level, geographic location, and in\-store availability. * Manage inventory rotation to avoid shrinkage with customers. * Work closely with Category Trade, distributor sales force, marketing, and sales teams to ensure alignment and execution excellence. * Monitor and evaluate in\-store execution, using customer insights and market dynamics to refine strategies and optimize trade spending. * Oversee distributor operations, ensuring adherence to agreed\-upon processes, and recommend improvements when needed. * Conduct periodic trade visits to markets to inform and align distributors on new plans and follow up on implementation. Demand Planning \& Process Optimization* Develop a 12\-18 month rolling demand plan aligned with business objectives. * Improve forecast accuracy and reduce bias through structured planning and execution. * Lead data\-driven decision\-making, providing actionable insights to optimize trade strategies. Education \& Experience:* Bachelor’s degree in marketing, business management, finance or similar studies. * Experience as KAM or a similar role * English: advanced intermediate * 5\-7 years of experience in Sales, Category Management, or Trade Marketing within the CPG industry. * Self driven, fast learner * Ability to connect and interact remotely with people in other locations. **Preferred qualifications:*** Skills: Good negotiator, sales strategy, team player, empathetic. * Data\-Driven Decision Making: Ability to translate insights into actionable strategies for sales growth. * Continuous Improvement Mindset: Ability to drive efficiency, innovation, and category leadership in sales execution. * Category Expertise: Strong understanding of snacking, ice cream, and baking mixes categories. * Go\-To\-Market Strategy Knowledge: Proven experience with distributor networks, promotional planning, and retail execution. * Sales Operations \& Process Improvement: Experience implementing SOPs (Standard Operating Procedures), trade investment optimization, and best practices.
